Physical Therapy and Wellness Services
Clinical Kinesiology: An evaluative technique involving muscle testing to determine cause of muscle firing imbalances.
Men's and Women's Pelvic Health: internal and external myofascial release work of pelvic floor muscles and organs
Craniosacral Therapy: gentle, non-invasive technique to restore normal position and motion of the skull, spine, and sacrum to restore cerebrospinal fluid flow and balance the central nervous system
Neural Manipulation: gentle, non-invasive technique focusing on the brain structures, spinal cord and nerves to restore firing and brain function
Visceral Manipulation: gentle, non-invasive technique that focuses on releasing restrictions of the internal organs and their influence on other associated structures and physiological function
Myofascial Release: a whole-body, hands-on technique that evaluates and releases restrictions in the fascial system. <strong>Fascia</strong> is a dense, connective tissue that covers all the tissues of the body (nerves, blood vessels, lymph vessels, bone, organs, muscle) like a spider-web. Tension in the fascia system creates compression of joints, blood vessels, etc. and can cause pain and dysfunction not found on imaging.
SomatoEmotional Release (SER): A therapeutic dialoguing technique that helps release stored energy of specific emotions that have been retained, suppressed or trapped within the body due to physical or emotional trauma.
Lymph Drainage: gentle, non-invasive technique to release restrictions around lymph vessels and nodes to restore proper drainage of the lymph system; especially effective in resolving post-surgical edema.
Subtle Energy Medicine: an approach to enhance bioelectric signaling, cellular repair and regenerative processes, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal
Integrative Dry Needling: non-pharmacological modality using a solid filament needle inserted into trigger points for improved blood flow, decreased inflammation, decreased nerve sensitivity, muscle relaxation and restored homeostasis. Excellent for acute injuries and chronic pain
Cupping: a method of creating a vacuum on the patient's skin to dispel stagnation (stagnant blood and lymph), improve blood and lymph flow, decrease pain and inflammation and increase fascial mobility. Great alternative to needling
Dolphin MPS Neutrostim: applying microcurrent impulses to trigger acupuncture points, sutures or adhered scars; used to restore vagal tone
Muscle Energy Technique: this technique uses the patient's own muscle strength to correct and restore normal joint position
Joint Mobilization: a technique which uses varying degrees of pressure on joints to restore position and decrease pain
Spinal Manipulation: a technique which combines high velocity, low amplitude motion to restore joint position and decrease pain
Biomechanical Analysis: analyzing movement patterns of common activities like walking, running, moving from sit to stand, etc.
Movement Training: retraining neuromotor patterns of movement for improved function, decreased pain
